Heal The Bay Clean Up Venice Beach!

We were able to pick up 383 pounds of plastic in just 2 hours on Venice Beach last Saturday at the Heal The Bay beach cleanup. Los Angeles’ longed for rain washed garbage through the sewers and down the LA River to the beaches, creating a problem and an opportunity to catch the garbage before it is lost at sea.

It is recommended within 72 hours after a rain storm that no one should swim in the ocean in LA due to all the pollutants in the water near the shore during that time?
